Happy 12th Anniversary

To celebrate our anniversary, we hit up John Dominis (you may remember from a previous post a few months ago). The funny thing about this place--you head downtown Waikiki and turn off some side street, pass a bunch of homeless people and rundown buildings, and then there at the end of the street is this fine dining restaurant. It was so funny to watch Mom's eyes get bigger and bigger as we were riding in the car. "Where the heck are you taking us, Ryan?!"

Here's the view of Diamond Head from our table.

It was really relaxing watching all the waves, the surfers, and the sailboats.

Here's a crab that was right outside our window/view. It needs to grow a bit before it becomes a dinner here. ;)

We started out with stuffed mushrooms and crab cakes. Holy cow....yum!
Cheesey, I know. But the food was insanely delicious and everyone wanted a picture. This was Ryan's. That shrimp was so tastey...and then the heat came to bite you after about a minute.
Blackened mahi mahi with a spicy mango sauce.
Seafood platter (Mom couldn't decide what she wanted and this was a little bit of everything).
Blackened ahi with spicy mango sauce.
Dessert time! I got the strawberries with sour cream and brown sugar again. Right behind it you can see Mom's chocolate macadamian nut creme pie.
Ry's was chocolate haupia creme pie. Ok, we would come back to this restaurant just for this!
