Is this gorgeous or what? We've been wanting to hit a beach for quite a while, but things just kept coming up (isn't that life?). Finally, we were able to today. Here we are at Waimea Bay.
The water was sooooo clear and so beautiful! It was nice--there weren't any big waves or anything, but when the tide started to come in, the water was very strong. And it got to be very deep fairly close to the beach. We had some goggles and were able to see some long white fish swimming near by.
Isn't this one a keeper? Papa, Ry asked me to make sure I got plenty of photos with that boat for you. :)
Sooooo beautiful!
Marcus testing out the water. Kind of a cool looking light house in the background.
See the people out on the water? They're on what look like flat canoes or even surf boards. They have these paddles that they use to get around. Looks like fun!

"Hey, come back here!"
Evelyn's getting pushed back up to shore by the tide.
The shore was actually up high (very nice, then our stuff doesn't get wet).

Taking a break to have a snack. Swimming sure does work up the appetite!
We had so much fun today--this place is PERFECT for our family. Small waves, but deep enough to swim, and not crowded AT ALL. So we're headed back next Saturday. Ryan and I have already decided what's going in the cooler and everything else we're going to bring to make it an all day adventure. :)
