It's officially summer vacation and what better way to celebrate than getting wet? My kids have been asking for a slip n slide for the past week...and we just happened to see some at walmart while shopping. I tell you what, there's nothing like kids trying to bottle up their energy and excitement cause they know they have to be good or mom isn't going to set up that new watery toy. LOL.
So after coming home and having a quick lunch, we got it set up on the side of the house. I took a leaf from Karen and lathered the kids from head to toe in sun screen (partly cause they need it and partly for better slickness). :) The kids had to have a couple go's first to get the hang of it. Julia's expression to me "what do you mean i have to run and slide onto my stomach?"
Whoops! Darn thing is kinda slippery! (And no, I don't starve him, he's just skinny like that).
Ha! Forget sliding down the runway, let's just sit and relax in our own little pool at the end!
Hmmm, maybe if we go on our knees on the boogie board it'll work better?
Uh, then again....maybe not. :)
Somebody was thirsty and there was this highly convenient fountain right at his feet.
Julia belting out her own little song and doing a dance to boot. Evelyn's playing with our neighbor friend, Jacob.
She finally got the hang of it.
Once he'd had enough of the slide, Marcus went and got on his bike.
Double pic of him--but his expressions just CRACK ME UP.
He was only on his bike for about a minute when he hopped off and went running back into the garage. He came back with the helmet in hand cause he knows that how we ride our bikes. Safety first!
