Our 4th of July

I know these are a couple weeks late...but, oh well. I sifted through the 200, yes--200, pictures that Marcus took while we were at Sills Field that evening and will just post some of them. ;) There was a celebration going on all day, but we just went around 6pm--in time to see Smashmouth perform and then watch fireworks. Just as we arrived, we heard "Somebody once told me, the world was going to row me. I ain't the smartest tool in the shed...." blasting from speakers. It was THE BEST watching the huge grins that spread across Jacob and Evelyn's faces as they joined in the song while exclaiming in full volume "I KNOW this song! SHREK!"

Here is our friend Jorjann with Marcus as we are waiting for the fireworks to begin.

Lots of people brought their pets. Evleyn discovered this cute puppy and the owner was more than happy to let the kids play with it.

All the girls chilling out on our blanket.

This is his "I'm getting tired" look. He only sucks his thumb when he's sleepy.

And his "I'm tired and will you please put me to bed" look. Sucking the thumb and holding his blankie.

Evelynn, Mary Jane, Hollie and me.

We expected the firewords to be near the stage--oh no, intead there were RIGHT NEXT to us! So we just laid down on the blanket and enjoyed the loud view. :) Marcus was laying down on my lap, covering his ears with his hands, and squealing in delight the whole time.
