First Deployed Photos

These showed up on Ry's company facebook page. Lt. Beard, Cpt. Pierce, ??, and Ry all stretching their legs while in Germany. (For the record, Ja, everytime I see our captain, I'm reminded of you--look similiar and act similiar)

I don't know if Ry's purposely avoiding the camera (in case you can't tell, he's on the left talking to Lt. Pacasmac (or something like that) with Sgt. Young looking on).

Again, he's on the left laughing at Lt. Hodgson.

And in Kuwait. Thank goodness this place is air conditioned in here. When I talked to him a couple days ago, he said that it felt really good outside "cause it's only 90 right now--mind you, it's 6am." It heats up to about 120 each day. They don't go outside if they don't have to--it's too insanely HOT!

I've been able to talk to him on the phone for the past few days. :) He had a lovely conversation with Evelyn last night which left her with a bright smile on her face. I'll be able to talk to him more this week, too. I have no idea when they're shipping out onto Iraq. He knows, but can't pass that info along. I'm getting a care package ready to send out tomorrow for him. :) Hopefully it will beat him there so that he has something upon arrival. We'll call it a "house warming" gift. Ha! We've also been told that temperatures are on the more bearable side in Iraq. I'm really hoping--cause it's really hard on all the guys right now. Internet is supposed to be better over there, too. I'm really looking forward to that--Skype will be our new best friend. The kids keep asking when they can talk to their dad on the computer. Hopefully it will be soon. Anyway, there's our update (a post all about our July 4th celebration will be coming soon). Thanks for the prayers offered up everyone. :)
