Let's go see the arch

So we decide go, as a whole family, to see the arch. We are all excited to see it and to see what's going on at the VP fair. We had just got done watching the fair that morning, swimming in the early afternoon, and we wanted to see what was going on across the street (the arch was literally across the street from our hotel). So we all step out of the hotel and realize that it's absolutely pouring down rain. We decided to go ahead and stick it out...surely it would stop sometime and it wasn't a far walk. Well, we were almost there when I think we were all drenched. Jason saw some dude who had reached into one of the trash cans and pulled out a huge roll of trash bags. He offered to pay the guy a dollar for a bag to use as a poncho. We ended up getting a bag for everyone in the family. Even for the babies in the strollers.







And of course, after we buy the bags (and Jon and Callie turn back to the hotel with their kids) it stops raining. LOL. We went ahead and kept our bags on for warmth--and it was a good way to keep track of each other. Someone lost? Oh, he belongs with the trash bag family.
